Curious if there is a way to ramp engine sounds up and down automatically. I like engine sounds whether steam or diesel but get a bit tired of the constant droning of chuff or diesel engine anywhere on the layout. Is there a way to have the engine sounds ramp up for a few seconds and then fade away for say 20 seconds so you could hear some clickty clack rail noise in between? Maybe a small circuit in between the sound board and speaker?
I work around a lot of heavy equipment, sometimes you can and hear it, but when the wind shifts the sound goes away.
Any ideas?
