Hey everyone, wiring up my layout at the moment and can't get my operating track section working/wired correctly. It worked when I

used track power originally but would like to use constant 14v. The guide in the manual seems extremely vague and I've tried looking elsewhere for better diagrams but have been unsuccessful. If someone has a complete picture or can explain where both wiring from the switch and also from the track should go to that would be awesome! Thanks, James

First of all, are talking about the 14v constant supply on a Z4000 or a separate transformer?

If you are using the Z4000, take the wire next to the brown one as illustrated in the instructions and attach it to the "Hot" post of the 14v tap on the back of the transformer.

If you are using a separate transformer, attach that same wire to the "Hot" tap and tie commons of both transformers together, making sure the transformers are in phase first.

The wire next to the brown wire from the controller of your operating track will go to the "hot" tap of the Z4000.  The remaining wires, starting with the brown, going right to left, skipping the second connection will still attach to the operating track as before.  Ground will be provided by the track itself.

OOOO <-Track contacts.

Hope this helps
