well my MTH DCS controller was working fine - but when i set up my christmas village and turned it on the screen is blurred and does not show the lettering - just some blurred black lines - i did not drop it or anything - can anyone help?

yes - thats the first thing i did - still not showing lettering very clearly
How about this one.... Menu/ System/LCD CONSTRAST I hope you don't have to re load the software...Maybe cycle remote power a couple of times.
I have one that has 1/2 of the screen blurred.... the local m t h repair guy said all that can be done is have it replaced... needs to go to m t h for fix.... around $75......

thanks will try to recycle the power - but i have taken out the batteries and put them back in (they are new) and nothing seemed to work
If pulling and replacing the batteries helped some. Perhaps it may be a good idea to try and clean the battery terminals in the remote. Maybe even trying some Deoxit.
It might be a good idea to try different new batteries. You never know.
Could be worth a try.

I think I would try re-loading the software before going out and buying a new remote. Fortunately I have all the cables etc for software upgrades so it's not a big deal.

cleaned the battery compartment and tried new batteries - it has not improved
i cleaned the compartment - replaced batteries - still no help
tried but no improvement
