First post, sorry, sloppy. How do I remove a speed limit from my Legacy remote. My Lionel F-7 only crawls around layout. Also, how do I increase brightness on my Legacy remote.

- Press and release the ENG button for the engine.
- The Speed Limit icon shows in the first screen.
- With the speed limit set the icon should show dark.
- Press and HOLD the speed limit icon button for a second.
- The icon should show light now and the speed limit will be cleared.
will try. Thanks
John, saw your post and thought I'd ask... How do you clear a speed limit when it's supposedly not set (icon not dark) yet the throttle indicator line is thick black and the train won't accelerate (because it "thinks" the speed limit has been set, and so does the remote)? I tried holding down the set speed, then holding it down again to clear, but to no avail. I posted the initial question last night, before I suspected a speed limit issue, but then saw your response here, and thought I'd ask if you've ever seen this. Thanks!

Make sure your brake slider on the left is all the way up. This trips up folks all the time.
Also, make sure the brake slider on another CAB2 isn't all the way up with this engine selected.
Thank you both for your response! This is a new one for me. The brake was NOT applied (slider all the way up), but the remote was behaving like it was. I slid the slider all the way down, then all the way up again, and this seemed to clear the situation and loco is running as it should be. I've no idea how that happened as I typically do not use the sliding train brake (because of this). Instead, I use the engine brake on the right of the remote, and have it set to "Hold" when released. I know that I don't get any of the cool sounds this way, but I also don't have to worry about forgetting the brake is on when starting another train. What I've learned from this little "episode" is that it makes no difference the physical position of the switch. I guess you sometimes need to slide "On" then back "Off" to reset it. I feel a bit foolish, but appreciate the friendly reminder from both of you, which prompted my re-looking at the brake instead of the speed limit! THANK YOU!
