I purchased a MTH, silver plated, Burlington RPO on-line (semi-good condition). I would like to "dull" the plated finish to match my other standard silver cars. Would it be best to scuff the surface and over spray it with Testors clear satin or Dul-cote...or just repaint the car with Testors metallic silver?
My main concern is the ability of the clear coat or paint adhering to the original high gloss plating.
