Tonight, I got out one of my Proto 1 engines and discovered that the rear coupler had exploded; the knuckle is flapping loose, there is a polished plunger and a light spring. I've searched the MTH site, the OGR Forum and the web, but can't find a parts view of the coupler to see how it goes back together. Or, is it easier to just buy a replacement coupler from MTH?

Davin, I can sell you a replacement. If the knuckle is separated, usually that means the coupler broke at the rivet. My e-mail is in my profile. I just need to know if this is a long or short version. If you measure length I can send the correct one. G

MTH still had them this summer as I bought one of each from them, but yes, finding the part numbers was a pain. I had to call and talk to someone to get them. But it looks like GGG got you set up.
