Some months back I posted about getting someone to do a 3D print file for replacement pilots for K-Line EP-5s that frequently suffer from Zinc rot. Is anyone interested?

It would help if you could show a picture of the pilot so one could judge the complexity and skill required.

Here is a diagram of the EP-5 parts that includes the Pilot. It doesn't look complicated to me, but would need to be 3D scanned?

Gary, that is for a Lionel EP5. The K-line one is completely different that had very thin extensions where the die cast extensions that are subject to zinc rot and easily broke. if you are actually looking for a Lionel version, they are readily available.
The basic shape appears to be easily reproduced. As Chuck states it's the attachment details that are the problem. One would need to get access to an original with one side's attachment complete.

Chuck you are absolutely correct. Here are pictures of the one intact pilot on my EP-5. The connections both to the mounting and between the two sides is very narrow.

I wonder if the Lionel Pilot could be filed to fit?. Also I've not found them available.
