I have the Lionel 6-31751 Subway set and I'm wondering if I could replace the trucks on the powered car with the ones from the 6-31794 R30 set? They have two pickup instead of one on the R27 set. I just don't want to take a $69 gamble if it doesn't work.

I always thought that they were just the same molds, but repainted. I could be wrong.

The shells basically are. The trucks changed from the R27 to the R30/R16 run as they added an additional roller on the powered car for help on stalling/stopping on switches.
