I am thinking about swapping a few of my plastic Weaver trucks for metal ones.  It looks straightforward - remove the screw/bolt through the bolster and change them out?  Is it that simple (famous last words!)?  Will I need to separate the car frame from the body - is there a nut on the other end of the bolster screw / bolt?

Sure I could take it apart and look at it - but these are older models / plastic - I do not want to remove the screws from the plastic bodies unnecessarily.

Thanks!

No, and No.
