MTH 20-6516 NYC Smooth Side Passenger Car set

This set is an early release of the modern smooth side style car from MTH. Shown in the 1998 Volume 1 catalog. It is a 5 car set that is painted gray lightning stripe. It includes a full baggage car (5018), three coaches (2642, 2646, 2666) and an observation car 10633). The cars have interiors, overhead lighting and very detailed underframes.

Note: MTH issued another very similar set in 2001. This was set #20-6576. It included a "sleeper" car in the 5 car set.
