Has anyone heard this song before? Can anybody tell me what engine the whistle from the steam going by is from in this song?
The track on the original capitol LP was somewhat differrent from the track presented here. At the very beginning on the LP, you heard the sound of the crossing warning bell with a steam train in the background, traveling at speed and approaching the crossing, In Stereo, it approached from the left channel and crossed accross the stereo sound stage . traveling into the right channel. it is a very realistic recording if you can find the original Capitol stereo LP with the Full Dimensional Sound Banner accross the top of the LP cover. Dates to about 1960 and was quite a good recording of a train at speed.
