Roundhouse Re-Think...

I agree, RH can eat up a lot of real estate.  I just wanted to park some engines at the TT.

My round house takes up way too much space on my small 2-rail layout. I just HAD TO HAVE a turntable, lol. I regularly think about how I could have used that real estate for something else but oh well. I've committed so I will make the best of it.

Due to space requirements of a TT & RH consider having a  peninsula just for them and leave the main layout open for  running.

That's a big peninsula.

Korber 304 with one additional stall. Scratch 30" TT works well with about 1 ft between the edge of the TT and the Roundhouse. 

Having seen pictures of Mike's TT/RH module before is what generated my comment about the size of the penisula.

I am pretty sure Don was just having fun.  I am curious on who made that roundhouse.  HO or N?

As pictured 4' X 13'.   The layout TT and House is smaller with a side entry to the TT. 4' X 7'.
