Allen,

Thanks for writing about the Tomas Kinkade "All Aboard for Christmas" print. I must have missed the post on the forum back in December. I usually go by the Kinkade gallory in the local mall during Christmas hoping to find a Kinkade print with a railroad theme. For some reason I did not make it by the Kinkade gallory this year.

I did not know about this Kinkade print until I saw your editor's corner in run 263. I showed it to my wife this morning. She did not even give me a chance to ask her for her thoghts on a possible purchase of the print. She fired up the laptop and orderd us a copy today.

My pleasure, Richard. As you saw in the photo with my column, the Kinkade work now occupies the place of honor above my living room fireplace. It replaced a large and very nice painting of Point-of-Rocks station in a winter scene, which now hangs in my dining room. That, in turn, replaced a limited edition LGB trains painting which I still need to find some new wall space for.

That was a wonderful editorial piece.

My favorite, I believe.

I am a big fan of railroad art.

As a photographer, I believe an image should move you and represent something you want to look at every day. An image should not cover a wall space, it covers your heart.
