Running larger locomotives on my smaller layout today

Nice layout.

Your layout looks great!  Congratulations for successfully adding the 072 loop for the big engines.  The DD35 looks great there.  My layout is about the size of yours, 8x11, but my largest curves are 054.  I have a scale GG1 sitting on the shelf that I can't run on the layout.

I love the look of the elevated girder bridge on pilings. Are these kit-bashed together from smaller ones to form the curve?
