"i have 036 fastrack" that right there is your problem, I think you'll need at least 0-42 curves to run it, or in fastracks case 0-48.

Before you buy an engine - particularly large, scale engines - look at the catalog listing for the item, and it will tell you the minimum curve necessary for the engine.

Why should it need slighter larger curve in fastrack?

^Hi Martin, it is because FasTrack is not offered in O-42 size.  The next size above O-36 is O-48.

My UP version which is same vintage as your santa fe works just fine on my 036 fastrack.  Also have several older csx that do equally as well.  Check the horizontal wire gadgets above the couplers.  They can get caught in the pilot and limit the trucks turning ability.
