Okay, so I've feeling either a little stupid or old age is setting in!
I've had my train stuff boxed up for a couple of years. Just recently got it out and started to play with the new WiFi module, etc. I got my repaired Legacy Base and Cab back from Lionel today. Was able to update both without a problem and I'm able to connect via the WiFi module.
For some reason, when the SER2s came out, I ordered 2 of them. Now I can't remember why I got two. I do not run MTH DCS. I do have some of the older control boxes (mainly ASCs) that I do plan to use. I see that I can daisy chain an SER2 from the WiFi module and then hook in my ASCs daisy chained out from the SER2. I think that is all that I need. From what I understand, the SER2 will send a strong enough signal to support many of the older components.
I can connect the iPad LCS app and sync data from the base (SER2 is not needed)
I don't have any LCS Sensor tracks....yet.
I do not have the iCab app.
I'm pretty sure I didn't order a second one as a backup.
I've rewatched several of the LCS videos.
So, I'm back to why did I order two of these....any ideas?
