Thought I'd share a recent project.  Found an MTH reproduction 440 signal bridge to cut up.  Made a single-head cantilevered version and a double-head center-post version, for a couple different takes on the standard-issue tinplate signal bridge.  I was inspired by photos I had seen of Karl Rammling's work.

That is some nice workmanship David. Is that an escape artist we see?

Yeah, those Highlanders always seem to find their way to the other side of the fence.

Of course a standard 440C switch panel would work to control these, but since I've modified them already, I was going to slip a mini SPDT switch into the base.  The die-cast base has a hollow the switch would fit into.  Could also put the DT switch in the layout's control panel... could also hook them into a track switch (turnout) the way I have red-green block signals being used as switch indicators.  I'll post again when I get the switches in, they're just hardwired right now.

What a great idea, David. I was thinking the other day about making a variation that spans 4 tracks for the modular STD modules. (Third track isn't always there, but would have provisions).  I might have to print up a full PRR head for these guys (that has the diagonal lights). Probably a completely different design to get all the bulbs or LED's behind it. Would be cool to have it as a screw in replacement.
