I'll leave the praise and criticisms to those that are more knowledgeable. I like it. And it looks good in the middle of a string of tuscan coaches

My question earlier was wether this side of the car is correct.
If the PRR belongs by the door, I would want to switch the blank and PRR plates.
Anyone?
John - Thank You! Now I can sleep tonight.
Your car looks wonderful in your train, great pictures!
Wow that looks great....
Looks good!
That looks like the definitive Budd car. I have to see your railroad someday!
It's beautiful. Wish I had one. Too many cars, so little money.

Hello John, Just out of sheer curiosity, what's the estimated weight of that car (the O scale one?) I'd like to compare it to my MTH Super Dome car.
John,
Great shots!
Did Atlas fix the location of the shades? Are they INSIDE the window now?
Thanks,
Ed
Gee, thought about thread revival! This is from the first run of cars which was announced several years ago. It has all the features (and flaws) of that first run. I still like it, and it is a regular part of my passenger train. Whenever visitors inquire about that silver car I use that as an opportunity to discuss passenger railroading practices in the mid fifties, before the days of Amtrak
The car weighs 43 oz, which exceeds the NMRA recommended weight for a 21" car by about 17 oz. Nevertheless it rolls easily, tracks great, and the lights do not flicker. Which to me outweighs any flaws it might have
Thanks to all who commented on the photos. If anyone is in the DC area, feel free to contact me. We have lots of nice O scale layouts in this area.
John,
Love the photos. The ballasted track looks great. I have to take a good look at whatever brand you are using.
