Now that the BEMC control system has been out for a bit, has anyone figured out how to slow the Class-A down?  I have a speed limit set at speed step 75 as any faster and it'll fly off of my O72 curves.  Speed step 1 is fine for me for low speed, but it just ramps up exponentially instead of linearly like everything else I have.  If I was the only one to run my layout then I'd be fine, but I have little kids that run it too, and they have a way to figure out how to overcome my safety measure, like turning off the speed limit, and the last thing I need is for this to come flying off of the track and hitting them.  If it had a tach strip or ring, I'd just replace it with different spacing, but this is all electron based.  It sounds great, looks great, and smokes like a champ, the kids love seeing it, but I hate for it to be the only locomotive they can't run.  Don't get me wrong, I love the thing, and it's going to get lots of run time, I just want a way to slow it so kids can safely run it too.  Even on H momentum setting the thing still speeds up almost to quickly to keep it from flying of before I hit the Halt button.

P.S. I did contact Lionel, but they weren't any help.  It ultimately ended in yes it's working as they planned and they can't suggest ways to modify it.

P.P.S. I like to run sequential control on my Legacy locomotives, Has anyone else noticed that the bell doesn't go off until speed step 32 instead of 23?  Lionel never did comment on that when I brought it up.

AFAIK it has 2 motors.  I know there is no way to run it in a MU, so I'm not worried about matching other locomotives.  How would rewiring it affect the cruise?

Actually I had it at reduced voltage and didn't know it at first, it still is a race horse.  I'd have to mess with it and see how low it can go is.  Cons of reduced voltage is little to no smoke output and issues crossing power districts as well as other locomotives on the layout..

Lionel has asked for a video, so I will create one this weekend to email them.
