I'm trying to find a source for AWG 16 gauge wire, 4 conductors, pure stranded copper, for use in wiring accessories on my new layout. On my last layout, I used this speaker wire product from Parts Express on a 100 or 250 foot spool, but they're out of stock with no idea when they will receive a new supply. It worked great for hooking up the wiring for oil wells, beacons, buildings and even extending Gargraves uncoupling/unloading track wire harnesses.
I spent a couple of hours looking on Amazon and found a quite a few products that looked promising, but many of the reviews stated the wire was of poor quality or the spools fell apart once removed from the boxes. I called DigiKey today, but all they have is AWG 16/4 wire, but three out of four of the conductors are black with the last one green.
As you might imagine, I'm a bit frustrated right now.
Do you know of a source for AWG 16 gauge wire, 4 conductors, pure stranded copper with red, black, green and white colored insulation on the conductors?
