I know you can purchase small bottles of oil for lubrication of engines and rolling stock. Does anyone have a source for a pint bottle so that it can be used to refill the small container.

there was a forum post about this very subject back
a few months. Cant remember the title, maybe if you do
a search. But, I think you will find that there were many
many, many lubs out there. My personal fav. is 3-in-One oil
for lub and white lithium grease for gears. I use a flavor injector
(Walmart kitchen section $3), for my grease gun. I cut the sharp tip
off and fill it with white lithium grease bought in big tubes from
Home Depot and/or Lowes.

I bought some 'Liberty Oil' off ebay recently. It's 100% synthetic and says it's compatible with our trains. A 4 oz bottle was under $10 shipped and so far works very well. Daily running on my layout, when complete, will tell how good!
