After I finished upgrading my WbB CB&Q Burlington Route SD45 I felt the need for a matching caboose. A net search turned up a number of prototype photos.  Problem was they were a smooth sided offset caboose with a PRR style cupola. (I am sure a CB&Q expert will give the correct 'name') I do not know of a plastic model of said caboose so I went with a MTH steel riveted offset I had on hand. It was a set breakup caboose from a McDonald's set....and was cheap! I will need to remove all the tampo of french fries etc before repainting.

The caboose is for this locomotive......

Here is the art work I have done for the model. I had to make a few small changes so the decals would fit the MTH caboose better rather than being 100% correct per the prototype caboose.

More as I progress........Thanks

So I got it pretty much complete......a few paint details later....MAYBE light weathering.....but it needs to dry for a few days.

It's a MTH offset caboose from the McDonald's set. Not 100% correct for the CB&Q but close enough for my little world.

Here it is in a company PR type shot.  I used Dupli=color primer and Testors silver paint. My own decals and a coat of dull coat from Testors too.

Weaver CB&Q box car completes the PR photo!!!

Which program is this?

It brings to mind the idea of using side shots to create scale patterns for use in scratchbuilding projects  (much like "Brother Love's" cabooses)
