Alan- great job on the fuel depot. I like the view out your window too.

Pete- looks like a great train room.

Work continues on my Machine shop building. I glued three of the wall panels together and made some floors. Next up is to fit out the interiors and add some lighting. I'm going to build a loading dock since the one that is supplied with the kit is too small.

First dry fit of the kit.

Floor is printed on plain paper and glued to thin cardboard. The scale of the boards is too big but I'm OK with the look. Don't think much will be visible in such a small building.

Yesterday I started a project to scenic a corner for the Modular layout my club operates in addition to our permanent layout. We had the structures and I laid out the corner piece. Just need to add some landscape material, grass, trees etc some vehicles and people. Clump foliage and grass will take care of the slight imperfections on the front edge bevel.

Should have this piece done this week

Great work Fella's.   My wife just bought me my first airbrush.  So I'm really looking forward to seeing what I can do with it.  I build myself a foam board paint booth and have been practicing on any object not nailed or screwed down.

If anyone has any tips or thoughts to share, I'm all ears.

A great way is to have someone with experience guide you but YouTube has several airbrushing "101" vids. They are helpful.

I too just got a an air brush, brand new which I got as a gift. Have not used it as yet but I am concerned about the paints. I plan on using a filtered mask and ventilation. Curious what paints are you using because some when sprayed can be toxic just like a typical rattle can

Steve

Hey Ron045 and L.I.Train, Createx makes non toxic airbrush  paints in Opaque and Transparent that work wonderful in any type airbrush, (Dual or Single action) and they are water based. Gouache is more of a artistic paint mainly for water colors and might be too thin. Createx is strictly made by airbrush designers and can be used in airbrushing T-Shirts, modeling, portraiture, sculpting, land scaping models, even fingernails and tanning. They’re probably a little bit more expensive than a Gouache set, per bottle but if you go on the Createx site, they have a large selection of paints. I have never tried gouache before so I can’t speak on its quality or how it’ll perform with a airbrush or it’s covering capacity but I do know that Createx covers a lot of usage of different types of projects. I hope y’all are successful though whatever you choose to use. Take care -  Marshelangelo
