I just saw an ad for Sweep Sticks in the NMRA bulletin. Has anyone uses these in O Scale? How did they work for you? They look like a great way to make large curves with flex track. Link provided below:

I have some for 48" and 52". They are accurate but fit pretty tight between the rails. I lay my rails to minimum gauge to keep the wheelsets up on the fillets so that might be the reason. A couple passes along an edge with some 120 grit should get them to fit better.
I have several sets and like them very much.

I use the metal sweeps made by RibbonRail and definitely recommend them, but I have never used wood or fiber sweeps because I suspect they are too likely spread with temperature and humidity changes thus losing their accuracy in maintaining a constant radius.

I have a bunch of them in Proto48 from 60" to 240" radius. I use them with flex track to create easements and curves. There's a bit of wiggle to them occasionally, but you can always see it and correct alignment. I love 'em for laying flex. I've NOT tried them with hand laying rail.
I use them and like them, they are pricey I think for the finished product for what I know. They're not easy to use when spiking flextrack down, but still consider myself new to this after 4+ years in O. Just my worthless opinion.
