Anybody have any guidance on how to disassemble a Lionel General 1862T Tender? Is it through the rubber log pile? I can't find screws.

If you look at the front of the tender, you'll see that the frame folds up and around to pinch the plastic body and rubber load.
Lift up on that frame tab with a flat blade screwdriver to release the body and load.
You don't want to do this operation more than a few times, as eventually you'll snap the tab where it folds. But for once or twice, you should be fine.

Not so worried about that tab. This is for a very dirty original Halloween set that I came into over the weekend. The rear truck on the tender was replaced with a metal truck. I'm going to get another tender and swap in the correct chassis. So much thanks.
