Hi everyone,

I recently purchased an MTH Big Boy. The engine runs great, except one thing. One axle on the tender does not spin/move along the track. It is not the centipede part, the truck that is closest to the locomotive. You can hear it scraping along. I have oiled it and that does not work. Does anyone know what to do? Thank you.

Turn the tender upside down and look carefully at the truck axles.  If this is a premier version, the drawbar can be interfering with the front wheels on the truck.  Remove the truck and try and spin the stuck axle with your fingers.  Does it move?  If not, there might be lint,  dust or something in the bearing(s) of the axle truck frame.  Gently brush the axle bearing with a small brush like a toothbrush.  Add one drop of oil to the bearing/axle.  Does it move?
