Straight from the Lionel website product description...  what else more do you need?

... Special motion detectors inside the reefer trigger realistic braking, scraping, and bumping sounds as the locomotive picks up speed and slows down.

As for the delivery date, it would appear the Charles Ro website indicates they expect them in-house early February.  So I think you're correct, Jojo.

Well how about THAT!  Does that car also come with the appropriate "Freight loss & damage claim" forms?

Well, I think the reefer with sounds will be fun as it'll add to the overall sound of the whole train.  I also have those on order.  It's part of my Legacy 'started set' that I'm building, all ordered from Nassau, which consists of the 990 command set, Big Boy #4018, all 3 of the reefer 3-packs of 2014, a caboose and aux tender.  I decided to jump with both feet into the world of Legacy.

Well, Charlie can't get it to me before he gets them, so wait I must.  But until then I could pull them around with my RailKing Cab Forward if I wanted to.

You're welcome.

I wish i could join in the Holiday cheer, but the order I placed on 12/1/14 from Nassau Hobby Center has yet to arrive, and I received no notice of shipping from UPS, USPS, or FedEx that the package was shipped. I'm hopping the Holiday crush in shipping has slowed it's arrival, and that it wasn't stolen off my doorstep.

I would strongly suggest you give Chris or Charlie a call at the store. They'll do the right thing. While I'm not a big mail orderer, they are my first stop on the web if I'm looking for something.

Yeah, it sounds pretty cool, and I'm surprised someone hasn't done this a while ago.  You could make a kit and put it in virtually any box car.  Put one in every, say, third car or so and you'd really have something neat...

You have a point though regarding, to put it mildly, idiot thieves!!!!!!

Well I did get an e-mail this morning from Nassau Hobby's shipping dept- apparently my order was never shipped, despite my card being charged. Supposedly a software issue. While I'm happy I now know it wasn't stolen off my doorstep, I now have to wait another 5-7 days for my order- not so happy about that.

I don't know that I would trust those Nassau guys.  They have cost me thousands of dollars.  If they hadn't sold me that Polar Express set a few years back at such an awesome price i would probably be totally into a more affordable hobby like collecting Ferraris!  HA!  Like others have said on here, he WILL make it right.  They are great folks and huge supporters of this hobby and this forum.  Merry Christmas!
