For the record, LC locos run quite well on battery power. I first converted an LC+ loco to battery power early in 2019. It was reported on the forum. The June 2019 LCCA magazine included an article with all the details. Still running great today.

What did you do about recharging? Can you recharge thru an electrified spur track?

I have the LionChief+2.0 Big Boy runs great smokes good too the only feature it doesn't have is smoke in the whistle but I don't feel like paying a extra 1k for a Legacy Big boy is worth it. I think it is scale sized but not sure on that. Bluetooth works or I use my legacy controller, but like the Bluetooth better. I am really a MTH guy but have both set up on my track.

The LC+ 2.0 Big Boy is not scale sized.

Guys i think the FT AA and b units were cancelled they are no longer on lionel's website and they were never on the shipping schedule
