I like the app as well, I also put it on my iphone. I know Rich suggested expanding it on the ipad, but when I do that, everything is slightly blurry. When I go back to 1x, everything is smaller, but much sharper. Any thoughts?

ALL my flights are IFR flights. All my flghts are above FL 180 so they HAVE to be IFR. Besides, I'm too dumb to fly VFR these days. Too many areas of restricted air space!
Thanks Chris! I downloaded it a little while ago. It looks great
Rich and company, you did a nice job on the app and the new forum.
Crashes the 3G all the time. And I agree with whoever said it looks better on the Safari browser on my iPhone than on the large computer.
Thanks Rich.. I like the app for my iPad! In the future maybe a landscape view or OGR HD!
George
I spoke to the IT department (my wife), and she said that an iphone app will look blurry on the ipad when expanded to 2x. I still like the app. Thanks Rich.

what will the "app" do for my smart phone?
iPhone App is great. Loaded it and played around with it earlier tonight.
what is the point of an iphone/ipad app that won't play the videos people post?
Any reason why it would not run on my 3GS?
Works perfectly on my iPad, but just starts and clears when I try it on the 3GS.

For some reason my phone does not load any pictures that anyone posts except for the avatars. Anyone else have this problem or know of a fix?
$00 the iPhone App will only load a pic if you create the first post, not if you try to add it to an existing thread unless you switch to Safari. Trying to upload to the Clips folder still doesn't work. If you have gotten the App to work (not Safari) let us know how.
Zett, I think it only shows Thumbnails to speed browsing, click on the thumbnail and you get the entire image. At first I was worried but now I like it, hate waiting for a ton of pics I don't want to see to load over 3G
Eddiem Have you shut your phone down and restarted it yet? Often that helps with crashing apps. But Marty reported the same thing with his 3G
Looks like I'll have to load it it my brides iPhone when she's not looking. I've got a droid...

Wow and they say marriages that mix religions don't work, good job
Rich
where are the rules and guide lines about posting and selling on the new form, especially bumping and avatars
Rich,
The avatar rules are in the TOS https://ogrforum.com/tos (the link is on your settings page) Rich knows he has some work ahead to clear some up
The old forum was easily viewable on my Android phone. Not so easy now.
The old forum was MUCH easier to view on my Droid.
Hmm, I cant figure this out, my iphone does not even show thumbnails.

cbojanower,
I'm wondering seeing as Hoop.la creates the app with information to seven questions if there's some features left out like a regular web browser has to allow for all that to work what do you think?
Thanks for this OGR. What a pleasure to use even if I discovered it really late. Hey, better late than never.
Although I like the iPhone app - I am having two problems. First, the subjects are always truncated - leaving me wondering what the subject really is. The second issue is that viewing posted pictures is very inconsistent. I can only assume by the large amount of "white space" where I think pictures would be, means that I am not seeing the pictures. Not being sure, I tried viewing one of the Friday Photo posts, and I think I'm right - lots of blank space where I should be seeing photos.
This happens whether I am WIFI or not.
Questions or problems with the iPhone app should be directed to Hoopla Tech Support.
Sadly, there are no apps for layout building, collecting or cataloging. I can't even put the great HSL Lionel catalogs on the Ipad for viewing. I started a thread on the old forum about iPad apps but it got very little attention. Any iPad or Mac app programmers out there thatvan help a guy out?
I have been seriously considering a collecting / catalog and maintenance combination app for the iPhone / iPad but was not sure of the audience size / interest. If there is enough interest in such an app I may start putting something together.

Agreed, an HSL IPad app would be nice?
Hi,
How well does the Android OGR forum app work?
Kevin
I'm getting a new NOOK tablet today. If I have internet access can't I get on forum? And can't I get the electronic version of OGR? This is all new to me. I'm getting the NOOK Tablet because I read a lot of books.

If you have access to the internet, you don't need the app. I don't use the app for the Ipad.

No bugs to report.. Then again there is no Android App (Unless one was quietly released)

To read the magazine you will have to download the PDF file and view it online. If the NOOK has a web browser you should be able to access the forum
