I built this Stone Mill resin kit for Northbrook and I think it adds a little class to the scene. I need to acquire some gold paint to get the hanging pipe looking right. I managed to flush the nice ornate resin pipe hanger bracket down the drain when washing the parts so I cobbled up something out of some scrap brass. I think once I have another kit or two done I can decide on the final placement for the buildings that will make up this small street scene area. I have a nice Tom Yorke kit that should be done in another evening or so.

Oh my, you have done it now.  That is beautiful!

I had completely forgot about the smoke shop.  I have to have one on my layout, too.  Can't remember the number of times my grandfather pulled up in front of the one in Trinidad, Colo and had be go in and get five Super Chiefs (not the train, it was a cigar) and the morning newspaper while he waited in the car.

Checked mine this morning.  Your front brickwork looks better.  Mine is the Glory Hole

Saloon, and the side walls are plastered with regional "tin" beer signs.  I thought I

had done the water mill in the series, but must not have yet built the kit, as I can't

quickly find it on the shelves.  This kit came with a lot of tobacco signs, and they have

found homes on others of my buiidings.

Yes, J Daddy, that would be me. I made it out of Downtown Deco blanks (he sells them from time to time on eBay) and some parts I had laying around at the time. This was on my last layout for a time. I want to redo the roof to have some nice slate shingles someday.

Dave, nice job! I made my own sign and I did an interior on mine using Clever Models printouts but it's hard to see due to the lighting. Here's some really awful pictures:

I agree with the others. Sid building sides are to nice not to show. Stone Mills wasn't on the scene but he made some great well crafted kits. Here's my rendition which sits right on the edge of the layout. One side still needs to be landscaped.
