It used to be when I clicked on the HOME link in the top bar that it would refresh the page sorted by the newest posts.  The right hand Recent Posts would have the most recent posts.

Suddenly today, when I click on the HOME link, I get this instead, and none of the links on the blue page are functional.

What happened.

I edit all my videos on a MAC Pro, using Final Cut Pro X. It's OK, but it's not perfect. They have their issues, too.

Yay. I realize that neither system is perfect. I do my stuff on either a Macbook Pro or a new iMac. Both are faster than any PC I had. So for what I need and use, Mac seems better for my simple mind. 😉  Thanks Rich.

Maybe it’s time to advance to Mac. I did that a few years ago and found that “Once you go Mac, you’ll never go back.” 😉

I hear ya but ...

Unfortunately there's a constant, deafening roar that comes from huge numbers of Mac users repeating that same quote in unison, over and over again.   If that buzz isn't sufficient to get people to leave their Windows machines en masse why would your one vote make a difference?

I tried switching from the PC to the Mac, twice, and came back within a few days each time.  I saw no advantage to the Mac that would justify the work, and the huge price difference, required to change.

From another point of view, I'll concede that Apple's iPhone is much better at many things than Android 'equivalents', but this isn't the case with the Mac and the PC.  Both are very, very close in capability.  One's a little better at some things, the other is better at others.

Truthfully, I can't imagine anything on the iPhone that would work substantially better than my current Android phone.  Apple has a tendency to prefer their solutions over all others.  I remember the fiasco a few years back when Apple wouldn't use Google Maps for navigation, their solution was very inferior to Google Maps.

And right there is the best answer.Use the right tool for the right job.

For some things, such as web development and image work in Photoshop, I find the PC to be an easier platform to work on. However, when it comes to editing video, Final Cut Pro X on a MAC is much easier to use and has many more features than Adobe Premiere on a PC.

For just web browsing, IMHO Chromebook--available at COSTCO for about $225--is by far the most reliable (as are smartphones and iPads)

The problem with a Chromebook is that it tracks EVERYTHING you do with the app, reports it to Google, and you cannot shut those features off. No thanks. That is too much of an invasion of privacy for me.

I use Firefox with all of the tracking features shut off, ad blockers on, certain domains (like Google, Facebook and a few others) cannot set cookies, I'm behind a router and a firewall and I use a VPN.

@Bruce Brown posted:
  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click Settings.
  3. Click Privacy and security and then Cookies and other site data.
  4. Turn Send a "Do not track" request with your browsing traffic on

This applies to the Chrome Browser on a computer, however the “Chromebook” is a Google-based tablet. On that device you cannot shut those tracking features off.

Plus, sending a “Do Not Track” request from the browser (any browser) does not guarantee that the receiving site will comply with that request. Given that Chrome is published by Google, I would fully expect that google.com would not comply with that request and track you anyway.

I avoid anything related to Google and Facebook like the plague. I do not allow either domain to set cookies on any of my computers, and I use Duck Duck Go for my search engine when I need it. They do not track your searches. Google does.

To close the loop on this one, it was an obscure setting in Firefox.  I don't even know how it got changed, but I changed it back.  The option indicated was unchecked, and that caused a few issues.  When I tracked down the other issue, I notice it also fixed this one!

GunrunnerJohn, FYI, Firefox recently sometime in the last month or two, I can't remember when they did it for sure did an update, maybe that's why and when  it changed on you, glad you found it and got it working now for you.
