For those of you visiting Strasburg next week, or simply taking Rt.30 E to get home from York, a visit to www.nationalchristmascenter.com is a "must". I is located just about 10 minutes NE of Strasburg on Rt.30. I especially love the re-creation of the early Woolworth's 5&10 that you can walk into. A visit will REALLY get you into the Christmas spirit (I've been there 5 times so far).

Joe, I'm 20 minutes away and I haven't been there yet! But I'm planning to take the grandkids before or during the holidays.
I agree that it's a great place to visit.
The first two photos are of the Woolworth 5&10 display that Joe mentioned.
The third photo is in a room with a large G gauge layout. Looking up you see nothing but pine branches and ornaments making you feel as if you are walking around under a huge Christmas tree.
Worth a visit.
By the way, the owner always has a table in the silver hall. Can't miss his Santa-like appearance.

Try to go sooner than later. The closer to Christmas the more people, including tour buses. However, closer to Christmas means Santa is there for the kids. Try to time it so you are ready to go in when they open.

He has a stack of brochures for people to take.
Joe---thanks for the heads up on this as I will definitely check it out!
