My Uncle Jim Hoff was the owner of this shop. My father used to take me there because he was into HO trains and built a nice set-up for my brother and me in the basement. I remember not only the trains but the showcase filled to the brim with Matchbox cars brand new in Moko-Lesney boxes. How I wish I had invested in those! My grandfather "Pop" Hoff also did part-time repair work in the shop! Jim passed away a few years ago as did his wife Nora. Miss them and this huge piece of my childhood.
