I have been upgrading my older trains or non TMCC engines for years. When it was just 3rd rail I bought the boards by the box and before them a gentleman in Connecticut. So now I need more boards. I order from 3rd rail and call to check on something. A very nice woman (this is how I know I am becoming my dad with names) picks up the phone and we discuss my order. After we are done, I ask her to tell Mr. Mann that the plastic tray on the bottom of the sound boards is a great idea. Next thing, him and I are talking on a speakerphone. I think in todays world to speak to the owner about anything is not only great but deserves mentioning; customer service is alive and well at 3rail/sunset well done.

I believe it was most likely Shani - truly nice, and yes they all do a great job with communications.
Scott is first class, no doubt about it.
Scott's company, Sunset/3rd Rail, recently did a repair on one of my Sunset models. He is a man of his word.

I must agree! When my TE-1 John Henry arrived there was shipping damage thankfully easy to replace items.

Back in the dim, distant, geologic past when airfare was affordable, l made a couple of trips to the joint 2/3 rail show at Santa Clara, and from there explored Calif. with stops at Third Rail where l was welcomed. If it was profitable to make what l want, and Third Rail made it, l would buy it. He has THE reputation.
