That's a very impressive source of power. Your transformer cart is probably bigger than my layout!

It is tough to walk into that place and try to imagine how it got built. Those pictures are really great. Just another tribute to a great club's efforts. They should all be posted for people who visit to appreciate all the effort. It is a lot to take in though.

Thank you for sharing the photos of the layout being built and the track plan!  Everyone involved is to be commended!  It seems you have a great group who love trains, sharing trains with others, and the fellowship that comes with a common interest!  

I have never been in New Jersey, but I can't think of anything I would rather see other than the NJ HiRailers layout!  I will have to keep Trainstock in mind if I ever plan a trip to New Jersey!

Besides the size and the time spent making constructing your fabulous layout I would not want to even venture a guess as to the dollar amount invested in it. All of the members who put so much time and of course love into making it what it is are to be honored for their work. Hope to visit again on February 8th.

Geez...and I would be thrilled just to have your original layout!

The picture from 2003 shows the amazing amount of effort that has gone into the club. Did the original Franklin Lakes layout belong to a man by the name of Sam Toscano?  

Yes it did   It was built by Bob Levesi and belonged to Sam

If you ever get hold of a few of the Weaver special run boxcars lettered for Sams old company, Neuman Wholesale Drug, it would make a great unit train.
