As I was looking at our former mother country's Hornby trains this caught my eye. Around 2.05 the video goes into a further look at a product, but not of their own design. Instead of it being their own product it is a Lionel G gauge product! My question is why or how did Lionel get involved with Hornby? Also, I am not against the idea I'm just curious about how this took place. Any thoughts?

Really great catch. Look at the URL of the product page mentioning Lionel. i didn’t find any other mentions in the product details besides the logos on the box and controller.

Smart move by Lionel to extend their reach by distributing these through Hornby. I’d love to learn more about how this came around as well.
If only the lion would open its mouth and sing their song but that is only in a blue moon. There is another vid of a guy named, "Sam's Trains", he did a "news" report on what Hornby was releasing this year and he mentioned this set and it was coming from Lionel so I don't know.
