Always liked the WP feather boxcars.

Where are the couplers? I don't see them.
cabinet Bob, nice score. I don't know what kind of stock they carry in the actual stores versus on line but am about to find out. I am on their home turf for a couple of weeks and plan to check out a few stores in the area to see what they have.

Menards only carry their train stuff in the stores during the Holiday season. The rest of the year the O gauge trains & buildings are featured on their internet site.

Bill, thanks for the tip. While I have to go to one store for a different reason, this will keep me from driving around unnecessarily.

They're shorter than typical 3-rail couplers. Supposedly the distance between coupled Menards boxcars is only about an inch.

Have the couplers been improved over the early ones such as those on the flat cars?
@ wb47 Yes, the couplers have been improved on all Menards cars. Mine will run fine on 027 curves Bob V.
Just measured the distance between the Menards car when they are coupled. It measures 13/16" between the cars. Lionel goes from 7/8 to 1 1/8 "
Nice cars!
