Seems that I am running into all sorts of hurdles these days. All of a sudden, my DCS remote wheel no longer "clicks" as I advance it. Because of that, it is very erratic in its response. If I am trying to advance to a different engine, it may advance to it, but it may also just as easily skip to a different engine either up or down on the list. The same happens when I am controlling an engine and try to change the speed. It may change it may not. I have taken the remote apart and added foam so that the board to the side of the wheel is firm, but that did not solve the problem. I an guessing that the problem is inside the wheel and may need to be replaced. I just did not know if the problem I am experiencing has a quick and easy DIY fix. Thanks.

Rick,

I just need the computer skills now to be able to run Windows on my Mac.

The DCS WiFi Companion 1st Edition on pages 150-152 has a discussion regarding how to implement a Windows environment on any modern, Intel-based Macintosh computer.

This and a whole lot more about DCS WiFi is all in MTH’s “The DCS WiFi Companion 1st Edition!"

This book is available from many fine OGR advertisers and forum sponsors, or as an eBook or a printed book at MTH's web store!

I would like to place a big Shout Out to one of our Junior Members on the forum...well, to be exact, a freshman in high school. He personally took it upon himself to help me establish a partition on my Mac for Windows so that I could download and implement the MTH Loader program. He offered his help when he saw my plea and took hours walking me through the process. I now can shift from Apple to Windows and begin the process. Begin that is as soon as the RS-232 cable that can go from nine pin to USB connection comes in.

But again, many, many thanks to AmeentrainGuy for all you did. It is not easy to teach Old Dogs new tricks, but he did!
