I am looking to take the plunge to the shiny side and acquire an O gauge tinplate loco, preferable w/ protosound 3. Thing is, I really want to be able to pull my conventional equipment behind it as I don't have the budget or desire to go crazy acquiring tinplate cars. Is there a readily available way to attach a knuckle coupler to the back of a tinplate tender with having to tear the thing apart? I know someone is going to suggest getting one tinplate car and modifing it to have a knuckle on one end and the tinplate style hook on the other but I would rather just be able to swap out the tender coupler.
