First, it's only necessary under one of two conditions:
- You're upgrading from DCS 2.x
- You want to reclaim a missing DCS engine ID#.
Regardless, in both cases you would do the resets after upgrading, not before, since some of the early versions of DCS l;asked a TIU reset.
How do you reset the TIU and Remote to their factory setting prior to doing the V5 reprogramming?
TIU: Menu/System/TIU Setup/Reset TIU/Feature Reset
Remote: Menu/System/Remote Setup/Reset Remote
If you also want to reset the TIU's ID# to "1", do a Factory Reset instead of a Feature Reset.
