Joe,

When the WIFI is used, does that put AC power to the TIU? Can that mess anything up if I'm running DC power thru the TIU to the tracks?

By itself, the DC power supplied by the USB port is only good for doing DCS TIU and remote software upgrades, It won't turn on the DCS signal generators so cannot be used with any channel than than Fixed #1 to do anything at all that involves a DCS engine, including sound file transfers.

Having the WIU connected to a Rev. L's USB port will prevent the TIU from being power-cycled prior to inserting the 1/8" stereo jumper cable and will prevent rebooting the TIU in program mode.

I thought that I read that when powering with DC, a DC source should power the AUX input. I can't seem to find that statement.

As best as I can recall (it's been a while since I experimented with this), if using DC voltage to power Fixed channel #1 while also using the Aux. Power port, you must use DC into the Aux. Power port, as well.
