TIU / TMCC Cable Options - Should I use the 50-1018 or 50-1032 serial adapter cable? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Does anyone know the difference between an MTH #50-1018 TIU/TMCC cable, and an MTH #50-1032 TIU/TMCC-Legacy cable?

If DCS cannot access any Legacy specific engine functions, why would I get the 50-1032?

Would the 50-1018 not work with a CAB-1L or CAB-2?

Greg,

The 50-1018 cable works only with TMCC. The 50-1032 cabe;lw rocks with TMCC and Legacy.

Question, does the end of your cable say "Legacy" at one end??

Again, if it lacks the "legacy" labeling, then it highly likely is the earlier 50-1018

Further, Legacy function won't work, unless you ALSO install an LCS SER2 in front of your Legacy base.
