Forgive me if this has been discussed or placed in the wrong forum, but am new to the site & going on my 2nd year with an MTH & now realizing I need to upgrade my railking starter set so I can run my Ps2's &3's and get the full features of the engines. I'm looking to buy an MTH TIU 50-1001 & wondering if anyone has seen any good deals out there in any of their stores, online or wherever. My local shop has one & see them on ebay, just hoping I can find one cheaper than the +$300 I've found thus far. Thanks in advance for your time.

I found a used one and remote on Ebay last year under $175.00. You just have to be patient and watch.

My favorire online vendor has them for $280, when they have stock. That price range is pretty tight. Beware the cheapy on ebay. TIUs made before Rev L are said to be iffy. I good repair and you haven't saved any money

Agree on Marty as the best source for used - but if you decide to go the new route, Jason's Train Shop, as John said (above), is the best choice.
