Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me what this wire is called and where to get a replacement for it? I know it's for the antenna for the TMCC board. I just can't seem to find anything about what part number it is and if it's available.

It came off of a Lionel TMCC Berk Jr if that helps.

From left to right in the picture, one end connects to the TMCC board and extends about 2 inches. The 2 middle ends connect together, and the far right 2 wires get soldered to the handrails on the boiler shell.

Thanks,
Scott

To GGG and GunrunnerJohn,

Thank you for the information guys, I agree that having the second connector is somewhat redundant. I will take your advice and just use the one connector going from the TMCC board and extend the wires directly to the handrails on the boiler shell. With your input, I've done some more research and I found this old thread in which both of you, along with Boxcar Bill and others, discuss the same topic.

The information in that thread led me to these parts which are available through the Lionel parts store for $0.40 each. I will be ordering several of these to have as back ups for the TMCC Antenna wires. I wish I would have known about these 2 weeks ago when I made my 50% off order from the Lionel parts store, now I have to pay that hefty shipping fee again,  oh well better late than never I guess.

Don't know what I'd do without this forum,

FWIW, the part you say you're ordering is NOT the same connector as the antenna connector.  The antenna connector you picture is the JST-PH 2mm connector, and the one you're looking to order is the JST-EH 2.5mm connector.  Lionel uses both types, as well as many more.

Also, I buy my JST connectors at Digikey, I pay a fraction of what Lionel is getting for them.
