Can we use the legacy transformer plug with the TMCC base to power it up?
TMCC base plug is rated as input 120VAC 3w and output as 12VAC 100mA.

Legacy base plug is rated as input 120VAC and output rated as 8VAC 16W.
The input plug into both bases are identical. Since the TMCC plug is no longer available and impossible to buy a replacement except for a regular transformer plug and running a com wire to earth ground and the Legacy plug can be ordered through Lionel, I was wondering if you can power up a TMCC base with the legacy one?
OK now for the experts to answer…

That Power supply actually has a ground pin, so you would run AC+ to the center of a barrel jack and the AC - to the outside then at the power supply jump the AC - to the GND pin

EDIT: I can't remember if the power supply specifies what AC line is what but it really wont matter as long as the outside jacket to the barrel jack also goes to ground
