I am trying to create a latch up with my Legacy remote with these 2 TMCC U28’s  but I cannot get the 2 trains speed to sync.  The 6-31748 keeps pulling ahead.  I have set the stall, momentum, top speed and googled every combination on syncing TMCC speed.  Is it even possible?  Thanks for your time and effort regarding this matter.

Well, at least you didn't say "lash-up"....

But, seriously, folks: I have no experience with either locomotive, and have never used

a Legacy remote to do a Lionel lash-up, but I have used a TMCC Cab-1 - and my only

thought is that perhaps the two locos were produced at different times, possibly using different factories and gearing specifications, and the same "command" will make them run at different speeds because of this.

Also, Odyssey has been through many tweakings, I believe, and that may be the problem.

Maybe one of the lash-up gurus (I do it only occasionally) will finally chime in.

Suggestion: call or e-mail Lionel (see website) for advice. I have done so several times and they have always been helpful on the phone or otherwise. Can't hurt.

Run your engines until the Odyssey motor driver or encoder board is inop and replace with a ERR Cruise Commander "M" for Odyssey Diesel. Check out the instructions for the Cruise "M".   http://www.electricrr.com/Manuals/CruiseM-Inst.pdf                             On page 17 read about the Nudge feature.

Lionel U28CG 6-18293 does not have an Odyssey off button.  I just ordered some Legacy engines to give it a try.  Thanks.
