I have a 6-18567 2028 pennsylvania gp-9...if i "hard wire" the motor it can get it to go in both directions...but if i wire it with the tmcc/lcru2 it will only go in one direction... anything obvious/easy i can fix? if i reverse the blue and yellow on each of the brushes the motor does still only go in either direction...

If the motor runs in both directions when tested directly, top suspect is the LCRU2. You could try replacing the triacs on the LCRU2, if that fails, I have working LCRU2 boards in stock.
so one more bit of info...it seems like in tmcc there is a neutral...turn on...try to go forward with cab 1 but still have to hit direction button and then go forward again with red knob... other ones the forward just kicks in... does this seem like the triacs? and if so what do i buy to replace them and are they the 3 black half moon looking things ?? ...and if you have in stock are you talking something reasonable because you always answer my questions or like what you find on ebay when you do?
thanks
That sounds like the triacs, my top suspect. Personally, I'd just replace all four.
The triacs are the Q4008LH4TP, available at Digikey for $2.44/ea. You can't miss them, they're the parts bolted to the heatsink.

Do you know if this would work...trying to shop amazon???
LITTELFUSE Q4015L5TP Q4015L5 Series 15 A 400 V Isolated Bidirectional TRIAC - TO-220 - 10 item(s)
Probably, but I'd have to review it's specs. Why not just use the ones that are an exact match?
