I'm using the original Cab1/Base. I tried programming two of the LionChief Plus 2.0 Amtrak Genesis into a TR. I followed the setup for each engine, step by step, and both blow the horn when hitting 'SET' at the end. However, when I go to address the TR, no response at all. I tried with another LC+2.0 engine, and same thing...the engine seems to respond when adding it to the TR, but when addressing the TR and trying to run, no response. When building the TR, I'm using a double digit ID like 07. Pretty sure I'm hitting all the buttons in the right order (just following right from the manual). I don't actually have any older/normal TMCC engines to try with, only LC+2.0 at the moment.

Any suggestions? I know they advertise LC+2.0 engines as able to lash-up with Legacy using Legacy, but I was assuming they would work okay under "old" TMCC. Maybe not?

I just created a lash-up (MU) with two of the early LC+ 2.0 Dockside switchers, they worked perfectly under TMCC control.  Remember, you can NOT use a TR number greater then 09 when creating a TMCC lash-up.

Thanks John. I'm just not sure what to do different.

With the Cab-1, I'm doing...

TR 07 10 F SET (horn blows)

TR 07 16 R SET (horn blows)

Then to run..

TR 7, or TR 07, or any number of other 1-9 numbers I've tried so far (and turn throttle, press aux, horn, anything...) nothing happens.

The original Cab1 manual shows using single digits (ex: "7" vs "07") to build the train.   Try that.

Yeah, I agree with Tracer John, I use my Cab1 to build a train with Legacy and LC+ 2.0 engines and I address it to TR 9, just use the single digit.  It worked for me that way no issues.  Also, I had to make sure the momentum setting was the same for each engine. ,

Yep! That was it. I found some older threads about this which indicated "09" but maybe that is with Cab1L or Legacy. Single digit worked. Whew.

Thank you for the obvious solution! And after messing with momentum and other things, got things running smoothly. Tho it is definitely a bit finicky.
