A pretty big Schanebel car is being offered in H.O. by Bachmann (32 axles/$275.) It will negotiate 22" radius curves but it would be HUGE in O scale. If similar design modifications were scaled up it could probably negotiate 48" in O scale but would require at least twice that to look right. It would still be an interesting item to have in O scale, though.
Amazing video is right! Since I see overhang is prototypical, I'm not convinced I need go any larger then my Atlas 36 inch radius. 'Course I'll have to put interuban wide swing couplers on any cars longer than a scale 70 ft, etc...
