I have been looking all over for a way to delete an unused engine from the LCS. All the advice I've seen says just overwrite it. I have nothing to overwrite it with. I sold my second TMCC engine and I don't want to see it on the CAB-2 at all. I can clear all the data but the engine number is still stored. Is there a way to TOTALLY delete an engine? I went into the Legacy Utility System on my PC and deleted it there and I only see the one engine on the PC now but it still shows up on the CAB-2 remote.

When you say engine number, do you mean the road number?  That should clear with the ENG#XX (XX being the TMCC ID assignment)>Info>CLR.

If you mean the TMCC assignment number, that never goes away.  You will always have 99 engine "addresses" in a CAB2.  They just won't have any information assigned to them unless you entered it. When you give an engine a unique TMCC address, you are basically assigning it to the address on the remote.

I know the addresses don't go away but I don't see any others except the one good one and the one I want to delete when I press ENG. I only want the good one to show. Example: I had one engine in there with engine number 25 and road number 1225. No matter how many times I pressed ENG, I only saw engine 25. I put in engine number 57 with road number 1657. Now I see engine 25 and if I press ENG, I now see engine 57. Fine. I try to delete engine 57. I still see both 25 and 57 on successive presses of ENG. I don't see any of the other 99, just those two. I don't want to see 57. I want the same setup I had before I put in 57.

Your Legacy is working properly from what you are describing. When you push the ENG button twice it will toggle between the last 2 engine addresses selected regardless of whether you deleted the data or if it had data or not.

I’m not sure if that is what you’re referring to or not. If you select engine 25 and then select engine 2 they’ll toggle between 25 and 2.
